Oct 31 1895 My Dear Marks I send you a list of stockholders of the Concentrating Wks as it stands today – The Column marked shares not taken, are shares which my associates did not take on account of the panic wiping them out – and I took them myself. Mr Cutting did not take his stock as he died suddenly of the heart disease – and it is the taking of this stock that has cramped me being entirely unexpected – I will sell 1000 shares at par and the interest at 5% since the time I took Cuttings stock if done within 30 days – and will give you the interest and $5000. beside as commission – If you can form a pool to take that amount, I see the bottom dropped out of Gibbs et al, perhaps a legitimate enterprise can now have a show Yours TA Edison
