General Elec. Co-,
J. P. Ord, 2nd. Vice Pres.,
Schenectady, N. Y.
Dear Sir: -
We have your letter of the 3rd., with further reference to the Bloomfield Factory to Mr. Edison. He desires me to say in reply that the rental which you ask is too high. He can secure another place [at a?] rental of $20.00 per month, although [not as convenient?], which will answer his purposes equally [as well?], and he is not therefore, inclined to pay more than that amount. Please let us have your decision in this matter at your convenience.
Yours very truly,
W. E. Gilmore
