Dear Sirs: I am in receipt of your President’s communication of the 20th of January, advising as to the Exhibition which you propose holding next year in honor of Alessandro Volta. The undertaking is a very noble one indeed, and I desire to express to your Association my appreciation of the honor that you purpose [propose] conferring upon me in placing my name upon your roll as an “Honorary Member”, and your request is fully granted.
