Mills Building,

New York.
Dear Sir:-
Your favor of the 21st inst., came duly to hand, and in reply I beg to state that we already have [illegible overstruck text] a briquetting plant, with capacity of 1000 tons daily, and we only use one and four tenths per cent binders to make briquettes as strong as fire brick. One binder, however, would not answer for coal. We use 60,000 lbs. pressure.
Yours truly,
Thos. A. Edison
