- Editor's Notes
- Rcd letter from Logue re: trying to find trouble on Great North West circuit [quoted extenso] "When a transmitter is adjusted so that motion is lost, the armature vibrates against the dischanrging springs and the consequent 'rattle' in receiving phone makes it difficult or even impossible to read from it. If sufficient play--up and down---is not given to the armature (as was the case at Sherbrook[?]) so that in passing between the dischanrging springs the break will be long enough to discharge the coil thoroughly, the result is to weaken the signals greatly."
