- I beg to acknowledge this receipt of your letter mentioning the number of ---- in the watches you lent to us. I enclose a statement of the behavior of these watches, ---- ----- No 13 failed to run only because its dial interfered with the hands this movement not being fitted in the right size of ---- and as we were not skilled enouh to fix the dial we left the record as you see. No 15 the Howard refused to run at a low temperature. Nos 13, 14, 15 and 16, and 17 were in accordance with your wishes kept ---- from all magnetic influence. Non 12 and 18 were - ---- after the 13th of August to success in increasing stren -- - magnetic field had then rates seems to have been quite unaffected. Y--- all further particulars I beg to refer you to the Non Magnetic Watches in whose hands my report to Mr Edison on the whole test now remains
