Title
[LM111191], Letter from Arthur Edwin Kennelly to Frederick Peterson, December 6th, 1888
Editor's Notes
I am requrested by Mr Edison to give you the following electrical details of the experiments which we could not furnish with any great accuracy on the spot.##The alternations of the dynamo were about 2000 complete cycles per second (200 alternations)##The initial Electromotive Force with the converter before closing the circuit on the 1st -alf was 1100 volts and immediately after breaking the circuit was 1000 volts. During the period of contact it was no higher than 100 volts.##After removing the converter the EMF before contact was 830, during contact 770 volts###n the cases of the second calf, before contact 830 during contact 750.##In the case of the horse, the EMF was for the momentary shock roughly 1000 with the converter and for the three following contacts some 600, 650, and 700 volts respectively.##I am sir##Yours faithfully##A.E. Kennell
