Editor's Notes

"Mr Edison has examined some of the views you have sent and has decided not to take a number of them so that these latter we are today shipping by express. Four of these slides have had their cover glasses sbroken here. Please return them after renewal of same.####Mr Edison will continue the examination of the slides shortly.####He desires me to enquire for what sum you would furnish a slide cabinet to hold say 60 boxes after the pattern you brought, and also for what sum you would supply a micriscopic cabinet to hold say 1000 slides.####The eyepiece micrometer you have sent is rather too large for our microscopes and we will therefore return it to you together with a [diatom?] test slide.####there is a bottle of special lubricating oil used with your high pressure key that according to your circular accompanies it. I presume therefore that you still send a bottle free of charge.####Yours very faithfully####A.E. Kennelly####The ---- returned are 91 colored, 40 of ---- & 35 Statuary..####
