- #In reference to your letter of the 20th ind. I shall, having Mr Edison's sanction, be very pleased to visit Newport some day say in July, and give a discourse on the subject of electrical measurements. I presume you do not expect me to bring any apparatus. I think the better plan would be for you to suggest a date later on and I will let you know if it will answer. I can only say besides that I shall always be glad to assist in any way I can whatever will foster so excellent a scheme as that you are developing or whatever may advance the cause of science.####Yours very truly####A.E.
