[LM111405], Letter from Arthur Edwin Kennelly to Harold P Brown, May 16th, 1889
Editor's Notes
####[page 200]####16th May 89####My Dear Mr Brown####Mr Edison, who is quite of your opinion in the matter of condenser action with leads carrying alternating currents has referred your question to me as to how that effect may best be taken into account.####I should say by measuring the current actually sustained between the insulated lead sheathing of a wire, and gorund, or our terminal of the machine. Whatever current is to supplies would of course be waste. Thus in the case mentioned in your letter the waste would have been something like 5 X 50 X 15 - 125 Watts####Yours truly####A.E. Kennelly####Mr {H.F?] Brown####New York####
