- Editor's Notes
- Following your letter of the 8th inst. And after some delay the six quartz plates and the quartz lens have just reached my hands. They seem excelent. What you say concerning changes of temperature somewhat surprise me because we have been in the habit of making air light joints between glass and quartz by the ---- of melting sealing was and have noticed no bad results from the oepration, but we will try some cold current after this Concerning the ----- eye piece it will unfortunately have to be adapted to several efficient unstandardized tubes. If you can supply Mr Edison with a slip of uranium glass of the usual thickness please do so and we will fit it ---
