- Replying to your letter of 14th instant, I beg to say that your personal arrangement for your wires already submitted to you, does not contemplate batteries at both terminals. Our idea was to run all the lines from a single point. Your statement in regard to necessity of having batteries at each end of the line, so that the wires can be operated to a certain extent in cases of interruption, shows the advisability of rearranging our diagrams. We will submit a new proposition to you in the course of a few days.
