- "The board of directors of the EELCo decided about two months ago to bring suits for infringements against all manufactures of and many users of incandescent lamps. Mr. J. C. Tomlinson its special counsel for this kind of work was instructed to file injunctions immediately and Mr. W. Evarts was retained to take charge of the whole thing. Mr. Tomlinson has been studying the subject for the last two and a half yearts and is exceedingly well up in the details.......There are 16 fundamental patents involved and fifty-four suits to be commenced in the first [---]. The U.S. company hearing that we were going to do this ahve filed countre suits on some m inor details at the last moment. This company has been trying to make combination with our company" but NO WAY!
