Title
[MBLB3170], Letter from Charles Batchelor to Joshua Franklin Bailey, September 16th, 1883
Editor's Notes
#552 Yours of 15th and telegram rcd. "All I know about the Vanderbilt installation is that I believe the house is wired like a great many others in that district waiting for a central station to be erected. The fire you speak of" occurred at least 2 years ago during test of wiring. "The installation has been run as an isolated plant to show Mr V that it was perfect & now waits a Central Station; I do not think it has been thrown out." Notes various European estimates.
