Title
[MBLB4392], Letter from Charles Batchelor to Thomas Alva Edison, December 2nd, 1882
Editor's Notes
Berthoud Borel cable: these people are so tied up in US with Biedermann they can't shake him off but they say if an offer is made to them they'll try to settle with Biedermann. Think Biedermann entirely controls that enterprise. About the cable itself, most of the arc light people here tried and discarded it. I tried it at St. Chamas? factory but it quickly crossed. I think the cable is good and only requires great care in laying. Have 200 meters of it for making underground trial.
