Title
[MBLB4446], Letter from Charles Batchelor to Joshua Franklin Bailey, January 31st, 1883
Editor's Notes
No. 427. Italian station: letter from Columbo says bad weather has slowed matters but he'll *begin* to erect machinery, etc in week or two. Price of dynamos: I wanted to make lowest prices possible but our conseil says since we're not sure of price we had better state FF2500 for the L, which is reduction of 12.5%. The K will be lowered proportionally to FF6150. "You can therefore gtive whatever price you like to Siemens, but speaking privately to you I am sure I can deliver much cheaper than these prices and still have all our profits." Berlin theaters: sending estimates for 2 theaters (some discussion of this). "Everybody generally pleased with your German contracts."
