"New connections" drawing "1 Wires brought through and rivetted-- no solder"; drawing "2 Wires from the coil lapped together & only half the number of wires led into the cup. No solder"; drawing "3 Drill out pure copper and slip it on the wire-- Cup to be made as a clamp so:-- [drawing] No solder"; "4 Wire for cup bent so:-- [drawing] the ends are bent up to the shape of the armature wires & bound round & make good contact"; drawing "5 Wires turned up to get a long contact on the cup"; "6 Fuse the wires together with the 'arc'-- If this oxidizes too much then use quantity current & fuse where bad contact is made."; "Make a hardened steel dummy & hammer the wires well toether in it to give it shape so:-- [drawings] this will require least solder
