Title
[ME007], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Edward Hibberd Johnson, May 27th, 1887
Editor's Notes
Discusiion of life of lamps experimenting with different factors "let me record it strongly on your brain: example is 16 candles in 100 hrs. I test it -it is 15 candles loss of candle with same volts are not due to blackening; at end of 200 hrs resistance of lamps has changed although same volts different current . Want to understand change in resistance which is not a loss to the station or to the customer and that due to blackening which is a reall loss to both. More examples given " do you catch on with your intellectual grippers this"
