From remarks by someone at shop on running conditions of engine for lighting 90 lamps, estimates that TAE gets about 4 lights per HP; is this correct? "Did you note an error as regards the tension on the belts of the dynamometer described in the Feb number of Scribners?" [Criticizes Barker & Rowland report, in April (24:26), based in part on conversations at Menlo. Says Edison light not cheaper than gas.]
