- Title
- [MU085], Letter from Franklin Institute, George Whiting Hebard to Francis Robbins Upton, 1885
- Editor's Notes
- Discusses the report of the Committee on Lamp Tests at the Franklin Institute Exhibtion, Philadelphia. The report is not yet complete and the discussion of it in the press has been misleading. Does not think the reports will be useful to the public because commercial lamps were not tested. They wanted to test commercial lamps but the Edison Company objected and insisted on the tests with the special lamps. He encloses a circular that shows their lamps last longer and are more efficient. He wants to know the specifics of how he is using the lamps.
