- Edison's Telephone problem of track not being clear for chalk worked on four days; tests of various carbons in inertia telephone, alterations to inertia telephone, tests on old transmitter "one of hte great difficulties withour inertia telephones is that after using some time a number were taken down and tested for resistance with same pressure on each. They varied from 40 ohms to 6 ohms and some were insulators. This variation would kill them entirely."
