Copy of instructions to Russell & Co, Hong Kong & Canton, for procuring bamboo. Get bamboo of which unlimited supply can be had. Need: hard and dense fiber; straight joints; at least 9 inch length; dont' sent tops of poles; cut in 6-8 foot lengths for shipment, at lowest price; clean & well seasoned; lots of 100,000 to 1,000,000 per month. Notes on fiber wanted from Borneo, Celebes Is.
