Calculates "cutting speed" (ie., angular velocity of armature face through field) of 5" diameter armature. Calcs volts produced per foot of cutting wire at given rpm, then length of cutting wire (175 feet) needed to produce 99 volts counter EMF. Then several pages of canceled calcs about length of wire & number of turns in armature needed to meet certain conditions, concludes that resistance would be much too high.
