"Visited Greenville to see the Daft Electric RR. on Feb 28th 1883. Found it no different from what I saw to the Edison with the exception of a brake made by passing a current around magnets with their poles near the periphery of th ewheels and another arrangement of magnets with poles near the truck for the purpose of increasing the weight of machine by the same means."
