- EMG; large number of compounds to ascertain which best substance to make disk for emg; ascertained action entirely due to decomposition of fluid; disk won't be ready till tomorrow; had Wurth alter emg from tripod to disk; found chalk eliminated mechanical vibrations [one of chief obstacles]; repeated at about 11/min; with new emg and chalk pyro works well to Philly 200/min -- see 3786ff for further expts with chalk to determine best proportions
