- Editor's Notes
- I send you by express to-day a copy of my agreement with Mr. Edison. The first payment on account if this was made to him to-day, and the stock of the Edison Phonograph Company was delivered to the Garfield Safe Deposit Company of this city in trust.#I also enclose you four photographs of different views of the Phonograph; that is to be taken as the Standard; the machine from which they were taken is to be shipped to me to-morrow. I would suggest, if it meets the approval of your board, that two or three of its members come over here on Tuesday and inspect the machine, as it requires some one who is expert to run it. They can then put a provate mark on it so that it can always be recognized as the original machine, and I will deliver it to you later on.
