Title
[SB012BAK], Letter from Charles Turner Hughes to Thomas Alva Edison, April 19th, 1882
Editor's Notes
Suggests plan for winding freight loco motor, leaving ends of different layers exposed so that we can put in resistance until we ascertain the exact amount that gives the most power. Find .56 armature gets hot over half dozen trips with heavy loads over 4 tons . Turning the loco reverses polarity of magnets; is that OK?
