Editor's Notes
Electrical circles have been stirred by gossip of the quarrel between Tomlinson and TAE. It is reported that the breach if due to a misunderstanding in regard to the contract of sale transferring the phonograph to a stock company. The invention is on the verge of become a very valuable property. There has been a lot of guarded talk about this at the Electrical Club meeting last night.
Thomas Edison accuses late legal adviser John C. Tomlinson and electrician/inventor Ezra T. Gilliland of cheating him out of $250,000 in the sale of the phonograph
