Editor's Notes
"Edison Accuses Two Old Employees", New York Sun. The Sun some months ago published an article detailing the differences which had arisen between TAE and Gilliland and Tomlinson. TAE has filed suit demanding that Gilliland and Tomlinson "pay account to him for money received as his agents and pay to him such moneys as the court may deem equitable." In TAE's complaint, he says that thw two compelled him to sell his shares of Edison Phonograph for $500,000 while Gilliland sold his agency of the phonograph to Lippincott. The two have denied being beneficiaries of TAE and claim that they actually lost money in connection with TAE.
Thomas Edison accuses late legal adviser John C. Tomlinson and electrician/inventor Ezra T. Gilliland of cheating him out of $250,000 in the sale of the phonograph; he sues for the sum
