Concerning London Times dispatch from Phila on success of elight. TAE cables Le Figaro, "Times telegraph correct. Practicability and economy greater than claimed. All houses here lighted ten days." These reports become gist for European accusations of stock profiteering by TAE association. Figaro notes that French gas holders "have been so often scared by electricity that they don't believe in it any more."
