Abstract

Reply to "Electrician" editorial criticizing TAE ore separator as unoriginal. "Mr. Edison does not attempt to separate magnetic sands by wasting his force by moving his matter into contact with his magnets; he only influences it enough to draw it the least bit out of the line of direct fall--that is, the perpendicular--just enough to give ever so small a trajectory which it did not possess before."
