[X008BA], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Robert Henry Thurston, January 18th, 1888

Editor's Notes

My Dear Mr. Thurston:- Very many thanks for your letter of 31st ult. And for your kind wishes, which I assure you are heartily reciprocated. At present I am very busy fitting up my Laboratory, but the first opportunity which offers Mrs. Edison and myself will be very pleased to avail ourselves of your and Mrs. Thurston's invitation. We will be very happy to have you and your wife visit us at our home in Orange any time you are down this way, should like to show you through my Laboratory, in which I have many things that will interest you. I am glad to note the success you are meeting with in your effort to make Cornell the great centre for instruction in the science of electricity. Please accept on behalf of yourself and your boys my best wishes for a continuance of your prosperity.
