[X098C015], Letter from William Joseph Hammer to Bergmann & Co, January 15th, 1889
Editor's Notes
In reply to yorus of jan 12th beg to say that in regard to the two automatic regulators--we wish them both alike--each to run two #12 Dynamos. One will probably be used for exhibit only--& one for actual use, but we wish a good finish on both.##In regard to the stage regulator--please send us No 128--and make the calbe about six feet in length.##For Feeder Equalizers switch--please send two of each of the three styles, and as to the resistnace of Equalizers we are not particular to have it figure acutally as they will be used only to show their action & use in connection with the [comparative?] indicator, and they will not be permanently in circuit. Mr. Herrick has received instructions on this point and also in regard to all the other points brought up in your letter.##The four slicing switches are to be used for throwing in & out the dynamos & will be placed on the neutral dynamo wire. Mr. Herrick suggested to use the same as youa re making for the uptown stations--without the connections for safety strips.##You will please make the feeder equalizer switches detached from the equalizers with about six feet of cable.
