Title

[X154A7AC], Letter from Edward Hibberd Johnson to Uriah Hunt Painter, January 7th, 1888

Editor's Notes

"Cheever has been to see me and has produced an assignment duly executed by Mr. E showing that two notes for 666.66 each were cancelled and 1067 shares re-assigned to Roosevelt in consideration of the cancellation. He now asks for the return of the stock which I am of course bound to do, so please forward it to me at once. I have assured him that he shall have it immdy. He also asks for the transfer of 5 shares of stock on the Books---as to that you can do as you please or rather as you may consider the proper thing in view of the meeting to be shortly called."
