- Editor's Notes
- "Enclosed with this please fine a drawing of the improved phonograph. ## Please let me know by return mail, whether you are willing to make any for the Edison Co. or not. ## A reference of the matter to Mr. Johnson for the purpose of getting him to take some responsibility will be a fialure, and if you are not willing yourself to do it please let me know at once.... ## I got a bill through the House of Reps. today, which I am in hopes of having passed through the Seante in the course of a week to pay for the fixtures, and if the United Mfg Co. had not gone back on the Senate contract made under directions of Mr. Johson you would now have the contract for what would be the largest isolated plant in the world, which after you refused it was given to Westonhouse [sic], on the same terms that Mr. Johnson had directed me to make the contract."
