Title

[X154A8AR], Letter from Josiah Custer Reiff to Edward Hibberd Johnson, March 8th, 1889

Editor's Notes

Dear E.H.J. When you said that you would have no part of the proceeds of the Phono sale I thought and think you made a great mistake--but I cannot think it will make any real difference to you so far as U.H.P. is concerned.-- He has been your constant friend and he certainly has never given any evidence of undue selfishness much less a desire to taken any advantage of a friend. By the way did you intend the 500 shares standing in your name and which you gave me years ago, when all was doubt and uncertainty shall be held by me? No final disposition has ever been made of the matter. I have been wuite unwell for the past 2 or 3 dyas, or would have tried to get over to see you. Yrs. J.C.R.
