Title

[X154A8BR], Letter from Uriah Hunt Painter to Josiah Custer Reiff, April 10th, 1889

Editor's Notes

My Dear Reiff:-- Will you please send me a statement addressed to me officialy, as President of the Edison Speaking Phonograph Co., and state that certificat No. 74, dated November 23, 1878 for one hundred shares issued to you, has been lost by you, and has never been transferred to any one, and is still your property: that you desire to have a new certificat issued in its place, and agree to indemnify the Company for it, in case it should ever turned up having been duly assigned by you to a third party, and send to me by return mail. Also a blank power of attorney authorizing the transfer of the certificate when issued in blank.##Have you heard anything lately of Lippincott? If I do not hear from him pretty soon I shall take steps to protect myself. Yours truly,
