Title
[X154A8CP], Letter from Jesse H Lippincott to Josiah Custer Reiff, July 11th, 1889
Editor's Notes
"In reply to your favor of the 10th, I agreed with Mr. Painter that if it was not detrimental to my interests to give him the skeleton of the old Company after I had paid him for the stock. I was however advised by my attorney that it would be absolutely necessary to keep of the organization of that Company. This was several months ago. As Mr. Bush, my attorney is now in Europe and will not return for a couple of mohths, I would be better to let the matter rest until he reaches here. ## I might also state tha tI am 611 shares short in my holdings of the stock of the Company. 600 of this I believe you were either to give me the old certificates for, or a paper to cover the same. ## Whom the 11 shares belong to I am unable to say, but Mr. Painter shyould kjnow, he being in possession of the books of the Company."
