Title
[X154A8CV], Letter from Edward Hibberd Johnson to Uriah Hunt Painter, October 26th, 1889
Editor's Notes
[letterhead of Sprague Electric] Matters are taking such shape here and with Bergmann that it is imperative that you settle up the Old Phonograph matter at once. You must now come forward & say just where I stand if you mean to do me any good. If you do not adjust this affair at once you will have done me an injury you cannot afterwards repair##Telegraph me whn you can come here so I can arrange ot have you & Bergmann together-- I don't know what your plans are, but if they contemplate any further pressure upon Edison I must ask yo to desist I am so advised by friends who have claims upon me in a business way that are more pressing than any of my own personal affairs-- If you will come & talk these matters over with me you will see that in your direction there can come no good to me whether to you or not is another thing-- as to that I think you & I can agree Very Sincerely Yours Edwd H Johnson
