- Editor's Notes
- Saw the new phone this morning and was disappointed; mechanism is improved, but its far from being a commercial machine and would be a failure; apparatus for throwing the needle on and getting volume on small cylinder is ingenious; put one of the standard machines in "first-class order" send it to Hubbard's where I can set it up along side the improved one; our own machine is equal to new one; photographing in the water column is a pretty experiment but not commercially viable; same with Bell's telegraphing sight; will be at Fifth Ave. Hotel Monday evening; would you meet me there.
