- [four pgs from Phila] "Great news: Edison 100 lt dynamo, first to be tested, broke down--commutator went all to pieces---rotten mica you know." Had run 10 hours full load; gave out as dynamometer and galv measurements being taken. We need lamps. Some testing difficulties. Test of Edison 200 machine finished tonight. "Edison has sent some cheap but servicable lamp racks they are boards with 40 lamps each thus [drawing]" and a switch to each 20 lamps.
