- [wire from Phila] "preliminary ten hour run. edison four hundred made on three quarter load. Have written protest chiefly because Howell refused to have our new W I run anything less than ten hours on full load although committee are obliged to surrender building tomorow night unless protest is withdrawn committee will retest Edison and not test ours. shall I withdraw protest and have ours tested. Answer quick."
