Description: The dated entries in this pocket notebook cover two time periods:
there are records of hours worked and weekly wage payments from May 1865 through July 1870; and personal accounts from April 1874 through May 1875. The time book entries are mainly for 1865 and appear to be records of men working for Samuel Edison. The personal accounts include lists of purchases and personal memoranda. The inside front cover is marked "Commenced Monday 22 May 1865." The front cover is marked "Time Book." Approximately 40 pages of this unnumbered book have been used. Another Samuel Edison account book containing drawings and notes by Thomas Edison (PN-69-08-08) appears in the Notebook Series.
