The Thomas A. Edison Papers Digital Edition

This folder contains two documents by Edison. Both are enumerated lists of instructions. One document, entitled "Ogden Memorandum," is undated but probably was written in 1900. It covers the period November 1899-March 1900 and concerns improvements and repairs at the Ogden works. There are five variant versions of this document. The version reproduced here is the most complete; it includes an index of the facilities and employees involved in specific tasks, along with marginalia by Edison and others relating to the execution of tasks. One of the unselected versions is in Edison's hand. The second document, which has also been selected, is untitled and covers the period October 1900. It contains Edison's instructions for dismantling the Ogden works.
