Description: This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to nickel- bearing properties in the Sudbury district of Ontario, as well as in Arizona, Connecticut, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Australia. Most of the letters are to or from Edison, John V. Miller, or John F. Randolph. Many of the letters to Edison are field reports from John V. Miller. Also included is correspondence from John T. Hubbard, an attorney in Litchfield, Connecticut, with draft replies in Edison's hand; and a 16-page report of prospecting work performed during the fall and winter of 1901 in Ontario, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
Approximately 50 percent of the documents have been selected. The unselected material includes routine correspondence regarding stock transactions, mining properties, mineral assays, and unsolicited ore samples; letters from Miller concerning his accounts or whereabouts; and a prospectus of the Sudbury Power Co.
