Description

This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the electric pen, a copying system developed by Edison in 1875. Included is correspondence by George H. Bliss, general manager of Edison's Electrical Pen & Duplicating Press Co., and Frederic Ireland, manager of the Electric Writing Co., which marketed the invention in Great Britain. Also included is an agreement between Edison, Charles Batchelor, and James Adams (parties of the first part) and Bliss and Charles E. Holland (parties of the second part) regarding the marketing of the electric pen. In addition, there are several promotional circulars and an eight-page pamphlet by Bliss entitled "Directions for Using Edison's Electric Pen and Duplicating Press."

All of the documents have been selected except for duplicates.
