This folder contains correspondence, agreements, and other documents relating to the business of the Edison Telephone Co. of Europe, Ltd., and the Société Générale des Telephones. Some of the documents pertain to the Edison Gower-Bell Telephone Co. of Europe, Ltd., which was established in 1881. Much of the correspondence is by Edison's associates, George E. Gouraud and Joshua F. Bailey. Some of the correspondence is in the form of cable messages to and from "Noside London," a code name used by Gouraud.
