This folder contains correspondence, agreements, and other documents relating to the business of the local illuminating companies, primarily in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. Much of the correspondence is by William Lloyd Garrison, Jr., treasurer of the Brockton, Mass. company, and by Archibald B. Stuart, secretary of the Ohio Edison Electric Installation Co. Many of the documents concern the settlement of accounts between the Thomas A. Edison Construction Department and the various illuminating companies.

Approximately 80 percent of the documents have been selected. The following categories of documents have not been selected: routine correspondence relating to accounts; duplicate copies of correspondence.
