This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to mining and ore milling. Some of the items deal with Edison's ore milling and ore processing machinery. Other documents pertain to the purchase of mineral samples. Among the correspondents are William E. Hidden, a former Edison associate; Witherbees, Sherman & Co. of Port Henry, New York; and the Green River Zircon Mining Co. of Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Approximately 50 percent of the documents have been selected. The following categories of documents have not been selected: routine correspondence regarding ore samples sent to Edison for assaying; correspondence offering to sell mining properties, minerals, and ores to Edison.
