Other documents pertain to the purchase of mineral samples. Among the correspondents are William E. Hidden, a former Edison associate; Witherbees, Sherman & Co. of Port Henry, New York; and the Green River Zircon Mining Co. of Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Approximately 50 percent of the documents have been selected. The following categories of documents have not been selected: routine correspondence regarding ore samples sent to Edison for assaying; correspondence offering to sell mining properties, minerals, and ores to Edison.
