This folder contains correspondence, agreements, and other documents relating to the equipping of Edison's West Orange laboratory. Most of the letters are addressed to Charles Batchelor, who oversaw the construction and furnishing of the laboratory. There is correspondence from Armington & Sims, J. H. Bunnell & Co., James W. Queen & Co., and other suppliers. Also included are specifications from Babcock & Wilcox for boilers and letters from the Holyoke Machine Co. and Otis Brothers & Co. regarding the installation of the elevator.
